I'm Nick, the spark behind ShedSomeLight-and this is my story.
In 2018, I lost my dad to suicide. I was 21. That moment split my life in two. Grief didn’t just break me — it forced me to ask deeper questions. What’s the point of all this? Why try? Who am I supposed to become? The answers aren’t clean. But I’ve learned this: the pain doesn’t go away by numbing it. The only way through is to lean in — to feel it, face it, and let it shape you. Nick’s Best isn’t just a brand. It’s my way of confronting the world honestly, making things with my hands, and living like my choices matter — because they do. To not live up to your potential, whatever that may be, is to rob the world of something only you can give. Becoming your best is not just for you — it’s your responsibility.
